While most of the Club Gear is returned to the shed there have been a number of boards left unwashed on the grass in front of the Club. Please ensure everything is returned to the shed washed promptly after Sunday activities. By looking after our Club gear we have it available for everyone to use for years to come.
It would be apprecaited if everyone could look around for gear left out, regardless of who was using it to ensure no gear is left unsecured. Thanks for your co-operation.
The Club provides some foam boards for the use of U/9 and U/10’s and a very limited number of fibreglass rescue boards for the U/11 to U/14’s The costs of providing and maintaining numbers of fibreglass boards is cost prohibitive to the club, hence we strongly encourage Junior members with aptitude and potential skills to purchase their own boards.
The Club also has a Board Purchase assistance program for children who regularly attend training sessions and Carnivals.
Water Safety Policy
Club Days require water safety people who are SRC or Bronze accredited to assist in providing a safe environment for our Juniors to participate in. The water safety will be supervised by the Patrol Captain for that day. Our elected Water Safety Officers will co-ordinate water safety officers each Sunday.
The Water Safety Officers will require all proficient parents to wear the Water Safety Apparel and Sign-on in the Water Safety Log Book. The Surf Life Saving Association Water Safety Policy is strictly adhered to by the club.
Sun Safety Policy
The Far North Coast Junior Activities Committee adopted the introduction of a Sunsafe Policy at all Branch Carnivals. This Policy encourages all competitors at Branch Carnivals to Marshall for all events in sunsafe attire including Long-sleeved tops, Hats and with legs covered.
